Abstract

This study aims to analyze shifts in Indonesia's economic structure. The data used is GDP and employment data by sector during the 2000 - 2020 period. To analyze shifts in the economic structure using shift-share analysis. The study's results found that all GDP sectors showed positive share values. The business sector that contributed the most to GDP came from the industrial sector at 22.31%, the agricultural sector at 14.59%, and the trade sector at 13.08. Based on the analysis of the shift-share of labor, it was found that the most absorbing labor came from the agricultural sector at 33.34%, followed by the trade sector at 24.66%, the services sector at 13.84%, and the industrial sector at 13.46%. The increasing contribution of the industrial and service sectors to GDP growth and employment indicates that there has been a shift in the structure of the Indonesian economy.
